Ride to Work with Lisa Bender

Celebrate the first day of 30 Days of Biking with Minneapolis Council Member Lisa Bender and 30DOB Founder Patrick Stephenson. We'll meet at the Urban Bean at Lake & Bryant at 8:15am and leave for downtown at 8:30am. See you on April 1!

30 Days of Biking: MSP Kickoff Ride 2016!

Time 11:00 a.m. Location Gold Medal Park, Minneapolis

Led by Mario Macaruso, let's celebrate the beginning of 30 Days of Biking. We’ll meet at 11 a.m., hang out till noon, then roll out on a slow-paced bike stroll through our spring-beautiful Twin Cities. We’ll loop right back toward Gold Medal Park and end with festivities at Bike MS: Upper Midwest’s headquarters. With mechanical support from Farmstead Bike Shop, Recovery Bike Shop and Cherry Cycles.

Gold Medal À Gogo: A Spring Alleycat Series

Time 3:00 p.m. Location Gold Medal Park, Minneapolis

Three spring alleycats organized by our friend Ben Hovland, all meeting in Gold Medal Park! Races 1 & 2 will be short, less than 20 miles, and the final race will be a little longer. Each race will present a unique set of challenges for riders to complete. Points will be awarded for finishing each race, and an overall winner will be declared at the conclusion of the final event.

There will be men's and WTF categories for both overall and first fixed-gear riders. Points awarded for finishing each race will determine the overall series winners. Many prizes will be raffled after race #3 based on rider participation.

30 Days of Biking: Love & Basketball

Time 1:00 p.m. Location Venture North Bike Walk & Coffee, located at 1830 Glenwood Ave N, Mpls, MN.

Organized by the North Minneapolis Bicycle Advocacy Council. We are collaborating with 30 Days of Biking to bring you fun rides throughout the month of April. Join us for a relaxed pace, family fun ride around the city to Augsburg College (Si Melby Hall – 715 23rd Ave South, Mpls, MN) to cheer on and support Redeemer Lutheran Church ELCA - North Minneapolis’ two basketball teams in a tournament. Our teams are hoping to bring home the trophy. We will need a lot of fans to come and support.

30 Days of Biking: Surly Thursday

Time 6:00 p.m. Location Surly Brewery, 520 Malcolm Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Meet at 6 p.m., ride at 6:30 p.m. Our #SurlyThursday ride meets weekly throughout April. Starting at Surly Brewery — right off the U of M Transitway and a quick step away from the Green Line — we’ll explore these Twin Cities together. Ride leader Mario Macaruso knows Minneapolis and Saint Paul inside and out! This is a medium-paced ride, usually about 10–15 miles, and we always stick together. No rider left behind!

Perennial Cycle’s Saturday Pastry Ride

A fun, easy and accessible ride for cyclists of all abilities and ages! Join the awesome folks at Perennial Cycle every Saturday morning in April for an a.m. bike ride to pastries. Pedal Om

Time 2:00 p.m. Location Minneapolis By Bike (1621 Hennepin Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55403)

Are you ready to Pedal Om? Join Minneapolis By Bike and Yogi Farrah (RYT), for the launch of Pedal Om — a no-drop yoga ride with your cycling community. Learn the history of city sights you may bike past every day. After a 30-minute ride, we will stop to enjoy gentle yoga focusing on the strengthening and stretching cyclists need most. Our meeting point, Minneapolis by Bike, is located behind Hennepin Avenue, on alley side next to Cherry Cycles.

Bike RAVE @ Hidden Falls

Time 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Location North Gate Entrance, 1313 Hidden Falls Dr Saint Paul, MN 55116

River Action Volunteer Events (RAVEs) are a fun way to explore the river in a way few others do. All trips couple a restoration service project in a hard to reach area of the river with an adventure tour by National Park Rangers. For this RAVE, we will explore the portion of the river near Hidden Falls Regional Park by bike followed by a habitat restoration project. This RAVE is BYOB (bring your own bike!) with a casual ride of around 5 – 7 miles. Do some good while helping us to celebrate service!

Full Moon Ride: Can I Live Edition

Time 5:30 p.m. Location Perennial Cycle (3342 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55408)

Organized by Laura Kling for Grease Rag Ride & Wrench, this ride will go to the H-Cubed Open Mic event, themed “Can I Live.” All are welcome on this ride, but this is an event to encourage, empower, and elevate WTF (Women/Trans/Femme) voices and experiences. Cis-men may participate, but let WTFs run the show!

Hipshaker with 30 Days of Biking

Time 8:00 p.m. Location Farmstead Bike Shop (4001 Bryant Ave. S, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55409)

Because what’s 30 Days of Biking without dancing? Join us for this legendary funky soul vinyl dance party. We’ll start the night at Farmstead Bike Shop with a funk pre-game soundtrack and tours of the Warming House, then head out on our bikes and arrive at Kitty Cat Klub by 10 p.m. We’ll stop along the way for a sugar fix at Glam Doll Donuts, too. Being 21+ and $5 will get you in. Then it’s hipshakin’ time.

The Art Force Mural Bike Ride

During this 30 Days of Biking, Art Force wants to bring you on a ride by some of the awesome murals contained in Minneapolis. This will be a no-drop ride where we keep the pace of our slowest rider. This event is family friendly.

Bike MS: Twin Cities Ride 2016
