In honor of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) conference, when some 12,000 writers and writerly types will descend upon Minneapolis, musician Ben Weaver and Elephant Rock Writing Retreats — in conjunction with Banjo Brothers and One on One Bicycle Studio — are pleased to present this special event. Join songwriter and poet Ben Weaver on a bike ramble along the mighty Mississippi, on the last day of 30 Days of Biking. This ride will include a stewardship/volunteerism project at Hidden Falls Park, a live performance from Ben, coffee and salami sandwiches at Kopplin's, and a view of the Lowry Avenue Bridge lit up in cyan. Learn about river history from members of the Mississippi River Fund and The National Park Service. All ages welcome. Family friendly and FREE.

A smorgasbord of bike fun, created in a partnership between 30 Days of Biking and the Cycling Museum of Minnesota, Spinning Stories, the Minneapolis Bike Coalition. Join us for an open house at the museum, a place-based storytelling ride, an appreciation of Minnesota’s bike designers, a superhero comic book–themed ride, a story-sharing session and dancing! Bike MS: Sam's Club Twin Cities Ride 2015 is a one-day, fully supported ride starting and finishing at Summit Brewery in St. Paul, Minn. The ride features 15-, 25-, or 50-mile route options and is open to cyclists of all levels of expertise. Rest stops with water, fruit and other snacks occur every 15 miles. Cheers!
